As if Insomniac Events bringing Electric Daisy Carnival to New York this summer wasn’t enough excitement for the city that never sleeps, this week we learned that the legendary European event ‘Sensation’ will be making its American debut right here in New York City this coming October.
For months leading up to the announcement there has been mass speculation to where exactly the event would be held, and if Sensation would break from tradition and hold multiple dates in different cities. Last Thursday however, ID&T made the official announcement that Sensation will not only be held in Brooklyn at the brand new home of the Brooklyn Nets, the Barclays Center, but in a completely unexpected twist, Sensation America will be held as a two day event on October 26th & 27th – something that has never been seen by the Sensation franchise outside of its native Holland.
While the lineup for the two night spectacle won’t be announced until probably October, you can most likely bet that Sensation residents Fedde Le Grand and Sander Van Doorn will be top billed for the performance, along with the likes of other Dutch natives such as Hardwell and Afrojack. Sensation is also very adamant about having DJ’s that are native to the country, so we hope to see an American great such as Kaskade or even Markus Schulz grace the Sensation stage.
Tickets go on sale Friday, June 8 at noon EST via Sensation.com, www.ticketmaster.com, and select Ticketmaster outlets. For those traveling from out of town, Sensation will also offer packages for hotels and transport on its website. Guests must be at least 21 years old and as at all Sensation events, white attire is required.
